ITALY TAKES THE FIELD AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\nArcigay launches the new edition of "Italy in the field against homolesbobitransphobia AWARDS 2024", to fight all forms of hatred and discriminatione<\/strong> in the world of sport, which is the most suitable environment for working towards education, respect, inclusion, and friendship.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nWe firmly believe that, along with families and schools, sport is the social sphere where individuals are taught not only to respect but, above all, to value differences, which are sought out and valued.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe initiative starts today, May 4th, and will end on the 1st.\u00b0<\/strong> June.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe award categories will be increased from 5 to 6 with the addition of a new category that we believe is fundamental to the connection between sport and the third sector: the social balance sheet of sports clubs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe categories are:<\/div>\n\n- Athlete<\/li>\n
- Sports club<\/li>\n
- Fans<\/li>\n
- Sports journalist<\/li>\n
- Outdoor<\/li>\n
- Social Balance Sheet of Sports Clubs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe commission called to judge the candidacies is composed not only of the Arcigay Sport Nazionale group and the 28 Italian LGBTQI+ sports teams\/groups, but also of the "Arcigay Milano-Cortina 2026 Commission," founded in January and which will develop a preparation program for the Olympics in Italy in 2026.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nOn Saturday, May 25th, they will gather in RIMINI, hosted by Arcigay Rimini and La Comunity 27, a long-established inclusive organization that will host us for the occasion. During the day, an LGBTQI+ beach volleyball tournament will also take place, open to all.<\/div>\nThe public will be able to express their preference from 20th to 26th May, in addition to the commission's vote.a<\/strong>\u00a0on the site\u00a0www.arcigaysport.it<\/a><\/div>\nThe 2024 AWARDS ceremony will take place in the CONI LOMBARDIA council chamber, which will host the event on the morning of June 1st from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
