SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
Welcome to the official page by Arcigay – Italian LGBTI Association
Through its social media channels, Arcigay communicates and interacts with its members, supporters, and civil society. It disseminates its values, provides information on its positions, and promotes national and local initiatives. It listens to and supports active participation in the association's campaigns and activities.
Everyone has the right to participate in discussion forums and express their opinions, always following good manners, respect for others and their opinions, and the rules of conduct that fall within the concept of "netiquette." We encourage everyone to use gender-neutral language that is respectful of all identities whenever possible.
Arcigay's social media channels produce their own text, photographs, infographics, videos, and other multimedia materials, which are considered licensed under a Creative Commons 4.0 license, unless otherwise indicated. Therefore, this content may be freely shared, reproduced, and distributed, provided the source is acknowledged and cited, and it is not used for commercial purposes.
Sharing reported content produced outside of Arcigay is not permitted, including, but not limited to, sharing articles, links, and various promotions, unless such content is distributed by the association itself at its own discretion. Sharing commercial content is not permitted under any circumstances. Only administrators may post on the page. All other content, provided it complies with this policy, may be posted on the official group linked to the Arcigay page, which can be reached at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/arcigay/
We ask that you comment according to the content proposed on the page. Off-topic and irrelevant comments will be hidden.
Comments that manifest or incite racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, violence or any form of discrimination: origin, ethnicity, language, religious beliefs, political opinions, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, personal and social conditions are not allowed.
Insults, profanity, threats, violent statements, or behavior that violates personal dignity, the principles of freedom and equality, and the right to privacy are also prohibited.
Comments or replies that violate the above rules will be promptly hidden or removed and/or reported to the respective platforms.
In any case, any comments or materials that promote commercial or profit-making activities, that contain illegal content or incite illegal activities, that contain offensive, misleading, alarmist content, or that violate third-party rights, that disclose personal data and information, or that may cause damage or harm the reputation of third parties, and content that can be classified as spam, will be removed.
Arcigay's social media channels are moderated by its own volunteers, subject to their time availability. Moderation occurs ex post, that is, after publication, and is aimed at complying with the principles set forth in this policy.
Arcigay reserves the right to hide or remove any content deemed to violate this policy or any applicable law. Anyone who violates these terms and conditions reserves the right to ban or block users to prevent further action and to report the user to the social network's management and, in serious cases, to law enforcement.
