Arlati, Arcigay national secretariat, sports delegation, declares:

This year the project is part of a broader collaboration that includes Pride Sport Milano and the sports arena and the launch of the 2026 Olympic Pride House.
I strongly believe that sport, together with families and schools, are the social places where a person is educated not only to respect but also to value diversity..

ITALY IN THE FIELD AGAINST HOMOLESBOBITRANSPHOBIA

Arcigay launches the fourth edition of "Italy in the field against homolesbobitransphobia AWARDS 2025", to fight all forms of hatred and discriminatione in the world of sport, which is the most suitable environment for working towards education, respect, inclusion, and friendship.

We firmly believe that, along with families and schools, sport is the social sphere where individuals are taught not only to respect but, above all, to value differences, which are sought out and valued.

The initiative starts today, April 28th, and will end on the 21st.° June.

The categories that will be awarded are 6 with the replacement of one category, which we believe is fundamental in the connection between sport and the third sector: Safeguarding and ESG Policies.

The commission called to judge the applications is composed of the Arcigay Sport Nazionale group and the Italian LGBTQI+ sports teams/groups.

On Saturday, May 10th, guests of Arcigay Vicenza will gather in VICENZA for the first LGBTQI+ five-a-side football tournament, a trekking excursion organized together with Dolomiti Fluide, and the annual “AbbraciamoVi” event, which will take place in front of the Basilica Palladiana.

The 2025 AWARDS ceremony will take place at the Pride Sport Milano sports arena, which will host the event on Saturday, June 21st from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. During the day, in addition to the awards ceremony, there will be a variety of sports activities in the arena and a trekking excursion in collaboration with Rainbow Hikers.

Applications can be made directly or proposed by third parties and sent from April 28th to May 9th to the address sport@arcigay.it

Each application must be submitted specifying which statements, positions, or projects were implemented between June 2024 and May 2025 on LGBTQI+ issues in sport.
